With the written word, I am often eloquent and articulate. With the spoken word, I usually put my big, fat foot in my big, fat mouth. With my artwork, I am able to poetically represent my endless thoughts and random obsessions. In an attempt to understand the mysteries of my mind and to grasp a sense of reality from a bundle of unrealistic judgments, I struggle to build my imagination.
By combining visual metaphors, I examine issues of self-esteem, interpersonal relationships and the way that I am perceived and received. I do so by blending the nostalgic associations of vernacular objects, the physical properties of construction materials and precisely chosen words or poignant one-liners.
